The Yarden Report
Yarden Report 2018-04-30:
Considering the rather gloomy forecast, this weekend turned into fine gardening weather.
Action packed with flower sales and yard work, the yard is starting to come together as the ground warms and we start yardening in tshirts instead of hoodies and jackets.
New patio set is up and we have thoroughly enjoyed it nearly every night this past week.
Yarden Report 2018-04-21: The SUN IS OUT!!!
Lawn mowed, all 34 cyclamens planted along with various other plants that should have already been planted but it's been raining, 2 forsythia found homes on either end of the berry garden, and the cedar branches have been cleaned up from around the fire pit. The front yard is our next big garden bed project, and we've gotten the general scheme laid out, including a stone garden, and a production bush cherry named Carmine the Bowler (anyone catch the reference?).
Cedar branches laid over the cut Elm.
Dianthus var. Red unfurls her petals.
New plants and mulch!
And so we Began to Yarden...

Things are off to a promising start as a rhubarb leaf is poking out of the soil 😃
